Getting Error 404 after installing Joomla

I am attempting to install Joomla 2.5. Watched the tutorial and did as instructed. When I go to my page as instructed: www.bradleyspitbbq.net/joomla I receive this error

Not Found

The requested URL /joomla25 was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hello cristibug1, Thank you for your question. I performed a whois lookup, and your domain is not pointed to our nameservers. Instead it is pointed to: fastdnshost.com This means when it looks for a file/folder it is looking on their servers instead of ours, which causes the 404 error. When you transfer a domain to us, it will typically bring over the existing DNS entries (such as nameservers), but you can update them in amp to point to us. Keep in mind when you point over to us, whatever you have setup with us will load. So if your existing website is not on our server, it will not load, here is a helpful guide on migratingyuour website to us. There is a simple program in cPanel called Softaculous, where you can easily install Joomla. You can also install Joomla on your Temp URL, which allows you to test and build the website before directing the world to the new site. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below. Thank you, -John-Paul
