How does locking down WordPress admin login with .htaccess work with addon domains?

I have a WordPress website with my mail domain (aofuturo.com.br/blog) and also a WordPress wesite in an addon domain. If I add the code to .htaccess to limit referrer access as instructed on tne support center page (https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/wordpress/lock-down-wordpress-admin-login-with-htaccess), using the root domain, won't that block referrers from the addon domains?

Hello RanMan, Thank you for contacting us, this is a good question. The .htaccess file in the root folder will affect your addon domains, but you can avoid this by creating a new file named .htaccess in the root folder for your Addon domains. This will cause the addon domain to use its own .htaccess file settings. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below. Thank you, -John-Paul
