Opencart Affiliate : Is payout automatic or manual?

I've customized certain aspects of my opencart e-commerce site but never anything for affiliate. Now I got it working but it's not transferring the funds as intended. Has this always been the case?

Hello Readytogosurvival, Thanks for the question. In reviewing the affiliate options in OpenCart, it appears that the payment is MANUAL for affiliates. The issue is discussed here: How do you pay affiliates? Check out our documentation on setting up affiliates: Creating affiliate accounts. It will also provide other links on using the affiliate. However, based on the posts in the forums the process for payment does appear to require human intervention in order for payments to go out from the account.
