What would cause my home page for my OpenCart site to lose all pictures, slideshow, carousel, welcome message and SSL, PCI and site scanner seals??

I uploaded opencart visitor counter to my public_html. I never could get the vistor counter to load to my admin site, but in the mean time I lost everything mentioned above. All my products and all other navigation seem to work fine. I thought I was very carfull and didn't delete anything, but I must have done something incorrect. It would be greatly appreciated if I could get some help with this, I'm pulling my hair out!!

Hello Tbsmith, I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're having with OpenCart. I'm assuming you're talking specifically about OpenCart on your account though it's not really specified. We typically will try to review the account associated with the issue so that we can see the files involved and troubleshoot it directly. However, your support center login is not associated with an account. Still, we would like to help if possible. What would cause all of those settings to be lost? The main config.php file in your OpenCart installation directory could have been reset which is a good possible cause for the problem you're seeing. That would be the first thing I checked. You might be able to recover it if you have a backup. Otherwise, you might have to manually reset those settings. You can see the typical opencart settings here: Opencart install documentation.
