How do I install WordPress?

Install wordpress
Hi,

I bought a domain name and have since pointed the nameserver to inmotionhosting, added an "add-on domain" in cpanel and then pointed the directory for the new domain name to public_html/my.new.domain

I have just installed wordpress in the wordpress subfolder successfully, but whenever I tried to load the page (ie. http://www.my.new.domain/wordpress), it just gives me an Error 404. Am I missing any steps?

Hello and thanks for contacting us. You can install WordPress with Softaculous or manually.

Hello seoatoz,

This is an update for you. Almost as soon as I sent the last response, I saw the server had propagated the change, so you should now be able to see your wordpress site without having to wait.

Hello seoatoz,

I checked your account and the server had pointed the addon domain to one of the other IP addresses on the server by mistake. I had the server point it to the correct IP address and checked it in the server configuration file. Please allow up to 4 hours (though it usually happens much faster) for the server to propagate the information and your wordpress should display normally.
