Incredibly slow server responses

Hi,
I have a WordPress site at www.RockStarsGuitars.com & have always had pretty slow response in the Admin area. There are a high number of posts (products) on the site which can contribute some to the slowness, but still it can't be affecting that much. However, actual public facing site has always been fairly fast. Now, there was an update in WordPress & it changed some customizations that I need to go in and fix. The admin side is drastically slow & the live site is pretty much inoperable, timing out most of the time. I can't even get in to make these needed changes.

In the past, I've read that more memory can be allocated to the site to speed it up. I even did this in the php code as far as I could. At the time, it helped a little bit (1.5 yrs ago). But, now it's unbearable. Is there anything that you can see that is causing the server to be so unresponsive? Is there any way you could allocate more memory to the site?? Please help. It's really affecting the business. Thank you.

Hello Rockst11, We do apologize for the performance issues that you're having. Apparently, there has been a widespread attack on Wordpress sites across the country. Here's an article on the issue: Wordpress Login Brute Force Attacks This has affected many Wordpress hosting servers, including ours unfortunately, and it has been a source of performance issues. We don't anticipate this issue being indefinite, so hopefully the resolution to fis this issue is in the near future.
