Hi. I’ve got a basic free Wordpress site. I changed the site URL but now Wordpress leaves a link to my old site when I comment on other blogs how can I update my URL?
Please help!
I’ve watched your video but in the Wordpress basic free plan I can’t find the line to change site address under tagline. I’ve changed the name of my site but it seems that Wordpress is not still using my old sites address when I comment on other peoples blogs, it’s leaving a link to my old site and a message pops up saying the site is no longer live... how do I change this so my new site name is connected with my comments? Thanks so much for your help - greatly appreciated!

Hi Emma,
Sorry for the problem with the old URL issues with your comments. This is a little odd, since WordPress really has nothing to do with changing websites in other blogs. The only way it could be affecting it is if your user profile is being used to supply that information - and the user profile information is being used. If you edit your WordPress profile, there will be a website entry there. Make sure it's set to the correct URL and then if you use it, then that information should be correct. If you're not using the user from your WordPress installation, then you need to check the profile of the user that you're using when you answer those blogs.
