Developing a Site on a Draft Temp URL to Migrate to a new Inmotion Acct

I am developing a website for a charity. They have yet to decide on their final domain name, so In the interest of moving things along for content, format and site structure, I have started the site using a temp/non-existant domain name on a temp url as part of my account. [I have a temporary domain name on on temp url)

Once the actual domain is decided, what will the process involve for me to migrate / transfer the work of the draft website from its temporary domain name and url with Inmotion - to a new account of its own with Inmotion? Would I alternatively be better off to simply develop the site offline and then just load the content one-time into the new domain name and account when finalized?
If any added clarity needed for the question, please let me know

Thank you.

Hello jimii, Thank you for your question. To move a site to a separate account, first have the person sign up for a hosting account with us, for the domain they would like. Then, I recommend using FTP to download the files for the website from the old server, then use FTP to upload the files to the new account. If you are designing their website with a content management system such as Wordpress, Joomla, or drupal, for example, you would have to update the site URL in the settings, and also transfer the database. We would need to know what CMS you are using to provide a specific answer. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below, or contact live Tech Support.
