Wordpress turning apostrophe into double quotes

Nevermind -- figured it out. php.ini needed to have magic quotes set to 'off'.

***

Wordpress is turning apostrophes into double quotes in a new installation. For example, if I type in Jim's new car, wordpress changes it to Jim"s new car, and will keep adding quotes as I edit a page, so that soon it's Jim""""""""s new car.

Is there any way to turn this off? Is there something in my account that can be disable? Is this magic quotes at work?

Thanks!

Hello Lmr,

Thanks for editing your question and indicating how you resolved the issue. For anyone reviewing this post, the PHP.INI file is a key configuration file for PHP operations on the server hosting your website here at IMH. The file can be set to work recursively across ALL files in your site, or even to a specific directory. Search for "php.ini" in the Support Center search for further information.
