I downloaded Wordpress as recommended for a beginner. BUT I got another blog. When I followed the tutorial I got a link on my existing blog. I want to put something on my domain. I want to use my domain name. I still have the check back message, unless I go to wordpress, then it goes to a blog!

WordPress makes great blogs. I want a site that comes up when you go to mydomain.com. I do not want another blog that you get to through mydomain.wordpress.com I already have a blog hosted by wordpress.

Hi LeslyC5, I see that you updated your question with more information, thank you! Yes, if you follow the steps in my last answer, you will be able to get setup the way you want. You will be able to setup your site at mydomain.com, and NOT mydomain.wordpress.com or mydomain.com/wp If you have any trouble with those steps I posted earlier, feel free to let us know which step you're getting stuck at, and we can help further. Thanks, - Brad

Hi LeslyC5, When I visit your website, I do see the Website Coming Soon! Stay Tuned message. When I go to yourdomain.com/wp, I do see your WordPress website. I assume that you want to go to yourdomain.com instead of yourdomain.com/wp to see your blog? If this is so, you'll want to do the following: 1. Uninstall the blog you have at yourdomain.com/wp 2. Install WordPress again, but this time leave the In Directory setting blank. Most likely WordPress was installed at yourdomain.com/wp because wp was entered as the In Directory setting. I hope this helps answer you question. If it doesn't, or you have any follow up questions, feel free to post a comment at the bottom of this page, and I'll be more than happy to assist further. Thanks, - Brad
