i am getting a mailer daemon message from inmotion hosting that says a message delivery has been delayed for 48 hours. I have never sent a message to this address, and I have recieved this message for the last 4 days. I want to know if this is an actual mailer daemon, or if it's something else. I've scanned the message with my anti-virus (avast!) and it seems to be clean.

Hello EHenzel, 48 hour delays are one spam prevention method that mail servers use. If you are getting that from an email that you did not send to us, it may be that your email account is either compromised or someone is spoofing your email address. That is when they send email from another server using your email address as a return address. It is very common. You will want to check your email account and ensure you change the password for accessing it. Also, see if your current host can set up SPF records on your account. This will prevent others from spoofing your email address. I could not locate an account with us given the information provided, but if you do have an account with us, we can set up the SPF records for you. To do so, you would need to contact our support department (open 24/7) with that request. Be sure to validate your account with either the last 4 digits of the credit card on file, or the current Account Management Panel (AMP) password. Best Regards, Scott M
