Using shared SSL with VirtueMart 2
Forgive me my novice question. I'm and old hand at basic web development but dynamic web pages are completely new to me.
I am using Joomla 2.5.4 and VM2.0.6
Since VM2 doesn't allow configuration of a shared SSL, I am trying to figure out if it is possible to redirect the link https://www.myname.com to https://bizXX.inmotionhosting.com/~userna1
I only want to use SSL on select pages. I've been searching and may have found the answer but am not experienced enough to know what to do with them.
Dynamic web pages are new to me so I don't know how to apply the htaccess methods I've found.
I'd prefer to use a PHP solution but I only know how to spell PHP so am not sure where to put the code or how to modify it correctly.
I'm not even sure the snippets I've found are even on the right track.

While both Joomla and Virtuemart have SSL option, they are not written to work with shared SSLs. They can work fine with an SSL on the regular domain name, however.
