Problem getting existing wordpress webiste running

I have been trying to get my website up and running. It runs on wordpress.

Here's how I installed it. I uploaded all wp files to the doc root, created a database and username for the database. I exported the database tables from my old host and imported them through phpmyadmin to here.

I edited wp-config.php to match the new settings. It seems to me that is all I should need to get this running.

I have not yet pointed my domain name to inmotion yet. I am using
http://advanced1284.inmotionhosting.com/~randol12/ to load the pages. Been working on this all night and can't figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi randeng, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. Remember, WordPress uses the domain name in it's path, therefore without changing the actual Site URL WordPress will not display correctly. You simply need to update the Site URL or change the DNS (nameservers) over. If you update the Site URL, you'll want to use your Temp URL. Then once the nameservers are changed, you'll need to change the site URL back. Here's a few articles that may help you out: Changing the Site URL Changing your Nameservers I hope this helps!
