How do I turn on error logs

Avatar

I am getting continuous error messages from various pages on my site. The occurrences vary. Sometimes it will give an error and sometimes not.
The error is '500 internal server error'

I would like to debug this, and find the cause. But when I check the error log in cPanel it is empty.

Do I need to turn something on. How can I find out what is causing these intermittent but persistent errors?

Hi mikebr7,

Sorry, I should have included this in the original answer. You can see those errors in the error_log file in the folder in which the error is generated. In this case, I can see the errors in the error_log file in the public_html folder.

If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!

Hi mikebr7,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. It depends how your website is built. I've looked at the error logs for your domains and I found some errors to your add-on domain. The Apache error log says it is due to a pre-mature end of a script.

500 errors are tough since they are so generic. I hope this helps! If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!
