Hi, I have an urgent query if you could help me out please

Our website http://www.southam-st-james.warwickshire.sch.uk is now hosted by you (The nameservers have been changed) but I cannot transfer the domain as Ive just found out Inmotion dont support that extension

Now the website is down and im not sure how to proceed. The previous hosting/domain company has emailed me and said they still hold the TAG and for inmotion to contact them

My main concern is to get the website back up ASAP - content is loaded to the temporary site - can you sugges the best way forward?

Thank you

Hi ChrisSoutham, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. Ideally, we do not recommend changing the nameservers until you have transferred all the website files and databases. This allows your site to remain "live" on your previous host until you can test the website out using your Temp URL with InMotion Hosting. You do not need to transfer the management rights to the domain to host it here. You simply need to change the nameservers, which you've already done. Now, that your domain is pointed here- you'll need to move all the files and database(s) to your public_html folder on your InMotion Hosting account. Here's out guide on transferring your website to InMotion. When I look up your domain name, I do not see where your domain's nameserver has been updated to ours. This is what I see for your domain: Name servers: ns1.we-learn.com ns2.we-learn.com ns3.ja.net Your Temp URL is working, so it seems you'll need to change your nameservers to ours. If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S
