Is there a way for me to go straight to my new addon domain (just new today) and workon/see my wordpress installation while the new domain first propogates to the web?

thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. Basically you can use your TEMP URL for the main domain with the folder path of the domain added on to it. So let's look at an example:
My TEMP URL to my main domain is:
http://ecbiz108.inmotionhosting.com/~inmoti6
If I visit this is a web browser I'll see my main domain. This path points to the public_html folder of my hosting account.
Let's now say I create an add-on domain called "my2domain.com" and when I set up the add-on domain in cPanel it creates the add-on domain folder called "my2domain.com" in my main domain's public_html folder. I could visit this link to now view my add-on domain:
http://ecbiz108.inmotionhosting.com/~inmoti6/my2domain.com
So now, I'm able to view my add-on domain via my TEMP URL of my primary or main domain.
Keep in mind, if you changed the path top the add-on domain to something above or outside your public_html folder this will not work. Your TEMP URL points to your public_html folder.
