What is the difference in creating add-ons of cPanel accounts in WHM?

I have a VPS account. I see that I can either add an Addon domain to my current WHM account, or create a new WHM account for the new domain and host it there as a main domain. What are the benefits/drawbacks of each option?

Hi Yavor, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. WHM allows you to create multiple cPanel accounts. You can create cPanel accounts for each domain, or have one cPanel account with multiple add-on domains. It's really a matter of personal preference. Will other be accessing these domains, like a reseller account? If so, you'll want to set up each domain with their own cPanel account. The one drawback to having multiple cPanel accounts is that each account will have it's own separate logins. You can still access each account in WHM though. One benefit to having only one cPanel account is that it keeps all your domains in one place. However, if others will be accessing these domains to perform maintenance than spearate cPanels will be better.
