Is the homeloader module in cPanel causing issues with a sitemap?

We are trying to create a sitemap using the company recommended by InMotion. xml-sitemaps.com but neither we nor the software company’s support team can get it to work. It fails with error messages such as “Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 526553264 bytes) in Unknown on line 0”

They are now pointing the finger at the homeloader module (which appears to be part of cPanel) and have supplied this link as evidence.

Are there any other sites hosted by InMotion that use this sitemap software and have the homeloader module installed? If so are there any configuration differences between their sites and ours, www.AsiaPropertyWorld.com ?

They suggest disabling the homeloader module but that may cause other problems so I am reluctant to go down that road.

Any help, pointers or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi AsiaPropertyWorld, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. I've spoke with one of our higher tier support reps and he said, you should be able to disable the homeloader module in WHM, then once the sitemap is finished, re-enable it. Here's a link explaining what the homeloader module does: What is the homeloader module in cPanel There's plenty of sites that use xml-sitemaps.com however, I have not seen a site with pages in excess of 100,000 use it. For this reason, it's difficult to compare. Typically, we see these memory exhausted errors due to high memory comsumption with not enough memory being allocated in the php.ini file. Here's a link on adjusting the memory allocation in the php.ini file: How to fix a memory allocation error The above article is entitled for WordPress, but scroll down in the article and you will see a section on memory errors, which may be applicable to you. If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S
