I'm not getting all my emails. Can you help me?

InMotion Spam filters are bouncing perfectly good emails.

Based on the help library, I found I should have a "spam" folder in my folder tree, but I don't (I just have a "junk" folder). I tried to follow the instructions for rebuilding my folder tree as a first step, but that didn't work. I got to the part where I chose "rebuilder folder tree" and nothing happened.

I checked the black list rules, and there are no black-listed domains or email addies.

I mainly use RoundCube to manage my email, but I can log-in to any one of the three options and work from there to fix the problem if need be.

Help! How do I ensure I'm getting all of my emails?

Hi fancycatz,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. Spam folders would only appear if you are using Spam Assassin and I checked your account and Spam Assassin is not enabled. You said that perfectly good emails are getting bounced. Do you have any of those bounceback messages? Those can help us determine whats causing the message to be rejected.

Emails that are bounced are not stored on the server. The bounce back message is to notify the sender that the message was rejected by the recipient server. Thats why, having a bounceback message is so important.

Usually, the bounceback contains information about the sending server being on a email blacklist that is maintained by a third party. If this is the case, the sending party would need to contact the responsible party for managing the server.

If our servers are rejecting the email, it's likely being rejected by a lot of others as well. However, if it is not due to a blacklist and is another reason, we'd still need to look at the bounceback message.

If you can forward any bounceback messages you have to [email protected] and notify me via posting a comment to this question, I'd be happy to look at it for you.

If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!
