I deleted and re-added my email account in MacMail. Now the account is listed with the name of my InMotion hosting account, not my email address ([email protected]). Has anyone had this issue and how was it fixed?

Hello,

Thanks for your question about Mac Mail - changing your "account name" when re-adding it.  Apple Mail (Mac Mail) is an email client that can handle multiple email addresses simultaneously.  I'm not sure which version you're using, but in the latest OS (Ventura), I opened up Mac Mail, and I have three different email accounts added to mine.

If you added one, it might be that the account is the only email account you currently have configured on Apple Mail, or it may simply mean that you're focus is set to that email account.  You can select a different account to display in the left sidebar and then manage/compose emails.

Remember that when you add an email account, it's configured based on the domain where the email is being served. So, if you intend for your emails to come from a specific domain name, then emails must be configured with that domain.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Kindest Regards,

Arnel C.
