Shared email servers getting blacklisted - will purchasing a dedicate IP solve this?

I fairly often have issues with inmotion's email servers being blacklisted by various blacklisting sites. I understand why this can happen with shared hosting. If I purchased a dedicated IP on my launch plan, will I be able to use that IP to send emails so that the blacklist reputation of emails sent from my domain is tied just to my domain, and not to the shared inmotion server IPs (over which I have no control)? Thanks

Hello Anonymous,

Thanks for your understanding of the issues with shared servers and blacklisting.  Unfortunately, as shared servers share mail server addresses, you can't get a specific IP for the mail server.  You can do this on a VPS or Dedicated server account where you can change the actual service address yourself.

If you are continually being blocked by blacklists, please make sure to let the live technical support team know.  They have been in the process of investigating these cases so that they can rotate IP addresses that would not have the same problem.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Kindest Regards,

Arnel C.
