How do we transfer ownership of a domain?

Good Afternoon.

My name is Ron Traub and my company Suburban Propane purchased Drake Gas. How do we gain access to their account as we need to update their homepage to reflect change of ownership?

So, the thing to keep in mind here is that there is a difference between ownership of the domain and ownership of the site content & hosting. 

The domain is easy-- the account holder can just follow our guide on transferring domains in AMP, or get in touch with the 24/7 Customer Service team for assistance. 

As for the site content and hosting account, that will depend on where the site is hosted. If your newly purchased business has a site posted here, you should have the hosting account put in your name. You, or someone associated with the site, will need to verify ownership of the account to do so. I'd suggest making sure that is taken care of soon, just in case anything is set to expire or requires a monthly payment.
