I am setting up my website and noticed when I open the index.html file in the text editor I see slightly different content than when I look at the source in the html editor.  I expect the content to be identical since it is the same file.

Hello,

Sorry for the issues with the content of your index.html file being slightly different when you look at the file with two different editors. Unfortunately, without seeing the file myself and its location, it would be difficult to determine the reason for the differences.

However, I can say that a text editor and HTML editor may be different in that the HTML editor is highlighting or handling the HTML code differently than the text editor.  A plain text editor would only show the HTML code in text format. Some editors will even format HTML code so that you can see it better.

As long as they are both reading the same file, then there should be no difference in the code.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Kindest Regards,

Arnel C.
