I have had a FTP Database for sometime that can be accessed by Filezilla to upload files, and players logging in to our NWN2 gamesite area able to Autodownload changes or updates.  I set up the system that tells where the files are and has the address. (there is not Log on or Password needed for the game to access the system.  You can actualy put in the FTP address and a website with all the files are listed.  This has been working for serveral years with no issues.

Now the problem.  I added a new subdomain for our new game server, set up everything the same as the original one.  I can access it through Filezilla to upload files, but it will not work with the game.  I even tried putting he log in info on the game file, but that did work ether.  I if I put in the FTP address on the web, I get an error that it does not exist, please help!  I cannot use the same download directory for both.

Thank You in advance for you time.

In cases like this, the best thing to do is directly check the FTP Server Logs and read what error or connection issue the server is returning. You can also access the logs directly on the server via SSH on both VPS/Dedicated and Shared/Reseller accounts. Here is the guide on interpreting them. Of course, you can always contact our Live Support team directly if you need help interpreting the logs.

Be sure to try replacing the FTP address with the server's IP address, that sometimes works around these issues.

Likely issues could be something with redirects. I'd double check your DNS Zones in the Zone Editor (or wherever your DNS is managed if you used outside namersevers) and make certain that the subdomain is pointing to the same IP address as the main URL.

Have you tried making a separate FTP account for this new server?

If you're on a VPS or Dedicated plan, make sure that the connection is whitelisted for the new connection. I hope one of those helps!
