Hello. Here is what I have set up:

301 redirect settings sending /summit-offer to /order-form

Hello Nicole,

I checked the URLs that you used in the redirect one-by-one and I found that the http://yournewfrequency.com/summit-offer URL generates a 404 by itself.  This typically indicates that the web server cannot find that page.  Please check to see if that page exists, or if it's spelled differently.  That is what's causing your redirect to not work.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Hello Nicole,

Sorry for the issue with the redirect not working!  In order for us to troubleshoot the issue, we would need to know what you've done.  If you give us a little information on what you're redirecting, where you're redirecting it to, and how you made the re-direct, then we can clear up the issue for you and give you some constructive feedback.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

I have the redirect set up according to the video but it’s going to a 404 page on the main website. I have the https:// and with or without www selected. When it wasn’t redirecting I created a page on the site but that didn’t solve the issue.

Hi Nicole,

When setting up redirects via cpanel, it automatically places the rules at the end of the .htaccess file.  So first thing to check is that file (.htaccess inside the /public_html folder) and if the rules are at the end, edit it to place them closer to the beginning. I usually put any redirects as my first rule sets.

peace,

Jim
