For some reason my original website designer uninstalled WordPress after creating the site. A new designer that is creating an additional site for me. I need to retain the original site also. Will it affect the original site if I reinstall WordPress..

I recommend reinstalling WordPress on a subdomain or within a subfolder of the existing site. Either way, I recommend generating backups of your site as best practice.
