Why is a public URL not accessible from my server?

`curl -IL https://cdn.podseed.org/` works on my local machine but on the server I get "curl: (6) Could not resolve host: cdn.podseed.org"

How would you rate the customer service you received?

Hello eric_says_hi,

Thank you for your question. You may need to open a specific port in order to connect to that service. I recommend checking the documentation for the CDN you are using to see what system requirements may be necessary.

Why would you think that? Port should be the default 80/443 for http/https.

"Could not resolve host" looks like a DNS issue, I'm just not sure how to fix it as it's specific to the inmotion server instance.

Hello Eric_says_hi,

I asked a senior tech about this and he said that there are several possibilities.  It's hard to determine based on the information that you've provided.  Some of the possibilities include:  the server is treating itself as a DNS authority for that domain and the record (IP address) is not added, DNS zone issues, etc.  It may be working from your local machine because of how it's being resolved from your computer as opposed to from the server.  I would recommend contacting the live technical support team for additional assistance because they have access to the server to directly look at the issue.  We don't have the same access from the Support Center website.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Kindest Regards,

Arnel C.
