I have photos that are HTML files. They appear as thumbnails and with a click are enlarged. Different HTML files each year. How do I get them into my Gallery page? My theme is Ocean WP and using Elementor. I'm a newbie but can follow instructions.

Hello Dennis,

Thanks for your question in regards to your photos and getting them into a gallery page.  Your photos are actually not part of the HTML file.  Basically, the code in the HTML file is referencing the file.  It looks like you're using WordPress if you're using the Elementor application.  Since this is a third-party application, I will need to reference their documentation in order to give you assistance.  Elementor is a theme tool for constructing websites for WordPress. The tool includes a gallery widget that you can use on your pages and posts.  Check out this tutorial for step-by-step information on how to use the widget.  I hope that helps to answer your question! If you require further assistance please let us know!

Hello Arnel C.,

I was able to resolve the problem after spending a day and a half looking at old photos.  I was looking at the photo file as an HTML file because that is what appeared in the browser.  Not only did I think they were HTML files but the link was from the old website which is permanently shut down.  While working on this I noticed that if I held the cursor over the picture a small photo identifier appeared at the bottom of the page.  The good news is that the long string of letters and numbers ended with .jpg.  So, I clicked on the thumbnail and when the larger version appeared on my screen I used my snipping tool, captured the photo, renamed it and placed it in a file.  When I had the photos I wanted, I imported them to my media library and inserted them into the gallery I was making for the website.  It was like solving a jigsaw puzzle and now the website is nearing completion.

The support technician tried to help and did her best but I sent her down the same rabbit hole I was in because I identified the files as HTML.  Thanks for answering my question and I have to say that the support team at InMotion is amazing.  If, before I finish the website, I run across any other problems I will not hesitate to get in touch with the support team.  Thanks for the quick response.

Best Regards,
