It depends on the specific cron jobs that you are running. If the processes you are running in a cron are not resource-intensive it can run more often. 

If the cron is running long scripts that require a lot of CPU usage, running every 5 minutes may cause problems.

Sorry for any confusion concerning the use of Cron Jobs. You are responsible for the code being used in your website. This includes the settings for the cron jobs. There are tools that you can use to manage it to make sure that it is not exhausting resources on the server- Please review this article for more information concerning high resource usage.

If you need to learn how to read or setup a Cron Job, please review this article.

The documentation link that you provided suggest that you stagger each cron job.  And the information that you provided is not sufficient to let us know how you set up the cron jobs on your account.  If you want us to look at in more depth, then we need to know how you set it up in cPanel. We could only recommend how to stagger it as recommended by the documentation you linked.

Additionally, in regards to the possibility of suspension, we cannot tell that by just looking at the settings of your Cron Jobs.  Your site would need to run with your current cron job settings and then monitored to see if it is causing any stress to the resources available to your site on the server your account is assigned to.  We recommended an experienced developer because they should be able to monitor the site and then determine how much usage your site is generating.  Once you have that information, then you can contact support to determine if you're causing any undue stress to the server. At that point, a ticket would be preferred to provide the information so that the senior tech support agents can investigate the matter.

We appreciate that you are asking about possible resource issues to the server, but we cannot make a determination of the usage at THAT server without your site actually running.  There are a number of possible issues including the availability of resources when you are running your site.  This is especially an issue on a shared server where resources are shared.  If you want more control over the available resources and monitoring of your site, then we would recommend going to a VPS or Dedicated server account.

Thanks for the question about the cron jobs running on your account.  The timing of the cron jobs is going to be up to you.  Activity that takes up resources on your account should occur when you have less activity on the account. It may also depend on when those cron jobs need to run. I hope this helps you determine when you should best run your cron jobs.
