I installed a theme Organic Store on my Prestashop 1.6.0.9 and then removed it. After removing the Modules --> Modules tab stopped working and shows the ERROR 500 on clicking from Back Office. Tried replacing the .htaccess file and also reloading the complete backup of system files. But no luck. Can someone help?

Hello,

Thank you for your question regarding a 500 error in PrestaShop after removing a Theme. When troubleshooting this type of issue, I always recommend enabling error reporting in PrestaShop. It will often provide additional clues or errors.

Try and add the theme files back if possible. Also, check your files/folders for incorrect permissions. Most commonly having a file as "world" writeable. This is a very common issue with PHP files. In general, on our servers, PHP file permissions should not be higher than 775. Keep in mind too that the permissions of the parent folders/directories need to be set correctly too. See our File Permissons article for more information, including how to change those permissions.

Thank you,

John-Paul
