Links don't work when permalinks set to post name

All of a sudden, some of my menu links don't work. I get taken to my home page instead or - in the case of the blog page - I get a 404 error. A few links do work correctly. The same happens with other internal links set up elsewhere on a page.

I notice that when the permalinks are set to plain instead of post name, they suddenly work again. But for SEO and user purposes, I don't want to use the plain permalink setting.

This problem doesn't seem to be related to a particular theme. I've tested it in twenty-eighteen and the problem persists. Any ideas please?

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with your menu links. Unfortunately, with no specific information on the URLs involved or access to the website, it is very difficult for us to troubleshoot the issue. Also, there is no "twenty-eighteen" theme, if you're talking about WordPress. There is a twenty-seventeen theme unless you're referring to an early release version of a theme. I actually did look and I couldn't find it on their official website. Please provide us more specific information concerning the website URLs, or if you want to handle it privately, then please contact our live technical support team. Please provide us this information and we can continue looking at the issue for you. Otherwise, please contact our live support team via phone/email/chat. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know. Regards, Arnel C.
