Error 500 - Internal Server Error An error was encountered

I wanted to edit some pages in my in my Boldgrid back end platform when I clicked on "edit:" none of them would work and the above message would appear followed by possible reason such as: "Typically this is a temporary condition. Please contact the web site owner for further assistance." The link on which it happened is:
"http://websitename/wp-admin/post.php?post=549&action=edit"
I would like to know if you could help us since we were unable to continue edit our pages due to this issue.
