Can I display my domain URL without using the inmotion DNS address?

I recently moved my domain (xxxxx.com) to Google domains so that I could have my email address ([email protected]) send emails to my Gmail account ([email protected]). This all works fine.

I then purchased a hosting package at inmotion hosting with xxxxx.com as my domain. At Google Domains, I setup a domain redirect for xxxxx.com to redirect to: http://biz221.inmotionhosting.com/~xxxxx/xxx/ which brings up my company homepage.

Is practical to somehow display my actual domain name (xxxxx.com) in the URL (rather than http://biz221.inmotionhosting.com/~xxxxx/xxx/) ?

Thank you,

Hello,

Thank you for your question on changing the information in the URL bar after a redirect. The address bar of the browser will display the final destination of the redirect. If you point the domain to the server, then it will display as the domain name properly. Giving a different name is known as 'masking' and is not something that we allow on our servers.

Kindest Regards,
