question about building web site
I just created my account on InMotion this afternoon. I currently have my domain at GoDaddy name and inactive email account set up there, nothing else, no site, etc. I updated the nameserver on GoDaddy within the last couple of hours. I was going to start building my website with Word Press on InMotion but I got a response saying it could not install on my site. Do I either need to build the site on GoDaddy and then transfer it, or should I go ahead and transfer the domain to InMotion and build it there?
Thank you for your question about installing WordPress. Were you using Softaculous to install WordPress, or were you installing manually? Also, keep in mind that DNS changes like updating your name server records will take between 4 and 24 hours to propagate fully. Did you try the install more than once?
