Should I start in Wordpress or prestashop?

I want to build my own website. At first, just an information and online catalog site. Eventually I would like to convert it into a full online store. I already have an account that will support both, I just don't know about the software. I may get help for the online store but for now I would like to start the website myself. Should I start with Prestashop or can I use Wordpress and then convert to prestashop once I am ready?

Hello, Thank you for your question about what software to use to start your website. I'm more than happy to help you. I'd suggest starting with WordPress. The cool thing about WordPress is it's really flexible. When you are ready to start your online store, there's plugins that can convert WordPress to a fully functional shopping cart (Woocommerce). That way you can work on getting your informational site up and running and then when the time is right for you, you won't have to start over since everything can be handled within WordPress. I'd take a look at BoldGrid. It's an easy to use WordPress website builder we offer through InMotion Hosting. It has some really nice built in themes and it's user friendly.
