When I log into my cpanel, I am notified that my connection is not secure?

This is the notice when I log in to cpanel.....
Your connection is not secure
The owner of vps18278.inmotionhosting.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

I also get a notification when I log into my email client...
The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified.
A certificiate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider.

Clicking on view certificate shows....
This CA Root certificate is not trusted. To enable trust, install this certificate in the trusted Root Certification Authorities store.

Please let me know how to fix these as I believe this trust issues is causing my emails to be marked as spam.

Hello Gregpine, Thank you for contacting us about the warning you are seeing in your browser and email application. This warning is normal. That message is safe to ignore and would not cause email to be marked as spam. It indicates that your VPS comes with a self-signed SSL rather than a certificate authority SSL. Both types of SSL offer the same encryption, but the former is not validated by a third party, so browsers and email applications show a warning. Those warnings appear to be alarming, but they are idle in nature. We have a full guide about the self-signed SSL warning and why it appears. Best, Christopher M.
