cPanel Security Advisor notification

Hi guys,

I am seeing lot of security notification under my WHM Security Advisor. For eg,

Apache vhosts are not segmented or chroot()ed.
Enable “Jail Apache” in the “Tweak Settings” area, and change users to jailshell in the “Manage Shell Access” area. Consider a more robust solution by using “CageFS on CloudLinux”

No brute force protection detected
Enable cPHulk Brute Force Protection in the “cPHulk Brute Force Protection” area.

ClamAV is not installed.
Install ClamAV within "Manage Plugins".

Many more.

Is it something I need to manage myself and configure ?

Thanks
Dean

No way to turn off these notifications that are marked Medium. I have only High checked and I still get these notifications. If I check "low" I will miss the important notifications. Confusing at best. Also, is "CageFS" available to VPS users?

If you are consistently receiving medium notifications, it may indicate an issue that can be addressed. Fixing the issue may stop the notifications. If you need assistance reviewing your specific alerts, I recommend contacting our Live Support team for help. InMotion does utilize CageFS, what specifically did you want to do?

Hello Dean,

Thank you for contacting us about the security alerts from WHM. These are mostly general reports and recommendations that do not require any intervention. You can modify the contact frequency or turn these alerts off altogether using the WHM Contact Manager.

Best,

Christopher M.
