Error while sending QUERY packet

I was wondering if anyone has a solution for this problem I am encountering.

I currently have two websites running through wordpress (4.5.3), both using DIVI and wordfence. When performing updates I was presented with the following warning:

Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=613708 in /home/......./public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1811

Funny enough this error didn't actually cause any problems and I have not noticed anything out of the ordinary other than the warning itself.

What exactly can be done to resolve this error?

Hello, Sorry for the problem with the error while performing the update. The closest thing that I could find matching this issue is related to the max_allowed_packet size.
