PayPal SHA-256 Compliance Q
PayPal is sending out mass mailings this month regarding SHA-256 compliance. These messages will likely confuse tens of thousands of users who have no idea what any of that means. Are IMO's systems SHA-256 compliant? Also: I presume if your users are simply using PayPal's buttons, which redirect all merchant traffic offsite to PayPal's servers, is this correct? Thanks.
Thank you for your question on SHA-256 compliance with PayPal. Yes, our servers and SSLs are SHA-256 compliant, so they should have no issues working with PayPal. There are different ways that websites use PayPayl. Some are done via buttons that redirect to PayPal, while others use plugins and addons that use PayPal's API.
