Installing PEAR with MAIL class for form using SMTP authentication

Hello,

I am using a template website from a template-finder whom inmotion hosting works with. In this template there's a form, and in order for it to work properly the technical department of the template-finder told me the following:

"Dear Marc ,

As far as I can see you are using SMTP authentication with the form .

In order to use it your server should be configured to have PEAR installed with Mail class.

Please ask your hosting to do that for you.

Let us know if it works for you.

Best regards,
Technical Support Team"

I have come as far as seeing a pretty long list of PEAR extensions in my cPanel whom I can install, but I have no idea which one I should choose.

Could you help me with this?

Kind regards,

Marc

Hello Marc, Sorry for the confusion with the PEAR installation. The answer you got was pretty vague unfortunately, and didn't specify exactly what you need to be looking for. Check out this tutorial if you need help with using our cPanel to do the installations. When you get into the cPanel, use the SEARCH option in the PEAR installation application to search for MAIL. You will see the options given to you for installation - there are TWO Mail class options . Choose that one that works best for you. I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance. Regards, Arnel C.
