Thanks for your question about your website template and color changing when you applied for an SSL certificate. To be honest, neither the application for an SSL certificate or its application to your website should change your website template color. It has absolutely nothing to do with it. If you can provide us a domain name, we can look at it further, if needed. If an SSL certificate is applied and something changes, then it may be the function of a software being used on your site. If an SSL certificate was applied then the only color that should change is the link information in the internet browser. Depending on the level of SSL certificate that you purchase, the link color and lock indicator may change. I hope this helps to clarify how an SSL certificate would affect your site (colorwise).
