I had many troubles to set up my e-mail account on Thunderbird client. Now it seems to work and I can see the email folders tree and all the emails, but I receive frequent unpredictable "(SMTP) secure178.inmotionhosting.com expired, please retry." error messages when I send e-mails from the client. E-mail client: Thunderbird 38.5.1 Cilent configuration (as suggested in your Thunderbird email client configuration instructions) Incoming Mail: IMAP Incoming Server: secure178.inmotionhosting.com SSL: SSL/TLS Port: 993 Autentication: Normal Password User name: @.com Incoming Mail: SMTP Outcoming Server: secure178.inmotionhosting.com SSL: SSL/TLS Port: 465 Autentication: Normal Password User name: @.com Moreover I have disabled antivirus SSL mail scanning.

Hello info.atelierantea, Thank you for your contacting us about an SMTP expired error in Thunderbird. I saw a recent post in the Thunderbird forums, where their connection issue was solved by restarting their modem. I also recommend reviewing the mail logs for any errors or record of your connection at the time. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below. Thank you, John-Paul
