Can't change password through cPanel

I get this message when I I try to change the account password through cPanel

The password that you entered is not a valid password
passwd: Authentication token manipulation error.

Please advise.

Hello Cojima, Sorry for the problem with changing your account password in cPanel. When I researched the issue cPanel forums advise that there may be an issue with the password file that requires root access to the server in order to repair. I have created a support ticket (#2557502) for, to have the issue addressed by the live technical support team. Apologies for the issue once again and that we can't provide an immediate fix.
