Need to transfer from one InMotion account to another

Our church is moving our domain and email from one InMotion account (that someone was kind enough to sponsor for many years) to our own separate inMotion account. Our domain was set up as an add-on domain in the old InMotion account. I've set up email accounts on the new InMotion account and copied the mail files from the old InMotion account to the new one. What do I do now to complete the switch over to our new InMotion account / server?

Hello, Thanks for your question about the next step for transferring your website from the old account to the new. You actually have a few options available to you. You can have InMotion Hosting technical support make the move for you using a Website Transfer Request, or, you can move the files yourself using an FTP client. The main difference will be that you will be moving the files from under a folder (typically named after your domain name), to the default primary domain folder named "public_html". If you are required to move a database that's part of your website, then you will need to perform a database export and import in order to move the database to the new location. After these moves are complete, you will need to inspect your site to make sure that all required files have been migrated, and then make any required configuration changes for the move. If you're not comfortable with making these changes, then please make use of the Website Transfer service that is provided. I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance. Regards, Arnel C.
