Wordpress creating pages for media items

Every time I upload media to my wordpress site, a new webpage is created for the new image. Ex: http://www.aristotleinsight.com/?attachment_id=380

How do I stop this from happening?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your image files after uploading. Pages are not really created within WordPress. They are built on demand from the server based on the content stored in the database. This is true for posts, pages, and even asset pages for items such as images.

Each image, once it is uploaded, has an id number and can always be pulled up using the "http://example.com/?attachment_id=### " format. If you are having issues with images on your posts or pages pointing to those types of pages, check the lower right corner when you are inserting an image into a page or post.

Look to the dropdown named "Link To" and ensure it is not set to "Attachment Page". If you wish to link to the image itself with no theme formatting, then select "Media File". If you wish to have no link, then select "none."

Kindest Regards,
