Hello, I would like to have my WP reinstalled with a fresh version as well as my DB. How can I do this?

I also unable to access my files via FTP i can authenticate but no files are shown.

Hello landcr6,

Yes you would just remove the contents of that folder. I would also suggest downloading a copy prior to doing so just in case you need to revert your changes.

Hello Landcr6, Sorry to hear you're having problems with your WordPress site and need to re-install it. The easiest way to do this is to use the Softaculous WordPress installation. This will put all of the files in the right places for you. You will need to remove your old installation by deleting the files and the database. You can do this in the cPanel File Manager. If you don't have access to the File Manager, then you will need to contact the owner of the account for assistance with that issue, or at least request proper FTP and database access.
