Hide filenames in browse url

I am developing a portal and as a security measure i want to hide the file names in browser urls so as wen am accessing files like portal.com/support.php it should only show portal.com. I have used .htaccess and am able to hide the file extension only, i.e when i access files like portal.com/support.php it shows portal.com/support. Help me solve the other issue.
