CSS not working in root installation

I install the latest Joomla using Akeeba in the root directory. The result is no CSS formatting in the home page, and any links clicked will result in wrong url. When I create a testing subdirectory and restore the Akeeba to it, the result is working as normal.

I try to change the php.ini name, but it still doesn't work. What should I do?

Hello, Sorry to hear that you're having problems with using Akeeba. I did a little research on the issue and it appears that there might be a few things that could be causing what you're seeing. Please look at the responses in this Akeeba forum post. Look and see if any of the suggestion help with your restoration. If you're still having problems with the site, then you should first try to request a full restore, if the site was backed up on InMotion. Otherwise, make sure that all configuration files for your installation are pointed to the correct server. if the configuration is looking for a different path, then the CSS will not work. I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance. Regards, Arnel C.
