IPv6 is here and I am hearing from IPv6 clients they can't see me.
It is my understanding the the IPV6 users will not be able to see the IPV4 address space. So as the IPv6 consumers come online, they will not be able to see in-motion servers. Right now, Comcast is handing out IPv6 addresses to their customers in LA. I know this because they can no longer see my server running here at in-motion and when I ask the to enter "what's my IP" in the google search bar, a IPv6 address is returned. They can't see us!
Thank you for your question on IPV6 compatibility. Our servers are not yet set up for IPV6 compatibility. This is something that is certainly on the timeline, but as IPV6 is still very rare in the form of connections to our servers. It is certainly something that our architects are working on for the future. Unfortunately, early adopters will be the most inconveniences as they will not be able to see a large portion of the web until everyone else catches up.
Kindest Regards,
