Hello, I am trying to add on this existing domain (example.com) which is registered at InMotion Hosting and I am getting error:  (XID 9rn3p4) The domain “example.com” already exists in the userdata.

What am I doing wrong?

Do InMotion Hosting's VPS Hosting Plans Include the Backup Manager Feature?

I do not see the option for backup or purchasing storage in my marketplace (VPS server). Is this located somewhere other then AMP=> marketplace?

I would like to backup my logs offsite - for PCI compliance. The backup manager seemed like a good option, but it does not appear to be available on VPS under AMP => marketplace. Is this service still available?

How Do I Point My Domain to an IP Address?

I have a second domain registered with inmotion. I also have a server on a personal public static IP. I would like the DNS record for m domain name to point to my IP address. Can this be done?

Hello.

Thanks for posting your question about pointing your domain to a static IP address. You will need to make sure the domain is pointed to our nameservers. Then, you can add the domain to your cPanel account. Once the domain is added to cPanel you can modify the A record to point the domain to the IP address you desire. 


NOTE: You will need to allow about 24-48 hours for the DNS to propagate throughout the internet before the domain begins routing to the new IP address.
